Exercising has become an all important part of our physical well being. Although there are exceptions to the rule, most people with weight problems have allowed themselves to ignore the fitness routine. Exercise intensity, attendance and diets were not controlled. The only measurements taken were body weight and one skinfold measurement (fat under the skin is pinched and measured with a caliper) taken at the back of the arm. Exercises like the overhead press, push-ups, dead-lifts, and squats (and there machine variations), if performed in a certain fashion will dramatically change the way you look and feel in a rather short period of time (1 to 3 months). The training of both strength and endurance systems together is probably what’s responsible for the exceptionally high and long-term metabolic cost, and its simultaneous ability to sculpt your body. Exercise as we think about it has not been around all that long. For most of humanities time on earth it was just built into daily life. Exercise such as running, jogging, biking or any other cardio will greatly help to improve your overall health and well being and will undoubtedly give you more energy during the day. You may be exhausted after doing a 40 minute jog, but trust me you will sleep like a log, and in the morning you will feel great. Exercise not only makes you look good but it also makes you feel good. The outside is what everyone else sees, but the important work is going on inside the body.
